At BrightLeaf, our efforts seek to benefit society, promoting fairness, equality, sustainability and positive change. It may not be the easiest course of action for a small business. But we wouldn't have it any other way.
From childhood, Wes had learned how to brew green tea from his mom, and Puerh tea from his dad. Over the years, the tradition continued learning from tea shop owners—like Donna from Far Leaves in Berkeley—and from countless others, including regional experts and farmers where one day Wes met co-founder Brian who shared an equal passion for exquisitely brewed sustainable tea.
Together they launched Paramo Coffee in San Francisco - yep you heard that right. Coffee.
But after several years in business together and with increased knowledge of sustainability and close-loop waste systems, aquaponics and carbon-capturing practices (Wes was also a partner in pillar of sustainability - San Francisco's Perennial Restaurant), they launched BrightLeaf Sparkling Tea.
Steeped in experience, Brian brings the patience and expertise of production and distribution to ensure there is consistent quality in every can of BrightLeaf all while keeping the product true to its roots with craft-brewing.
So what makes BrightLeaf so special? What do experts in brewing exceptional teas look for?
"A well-made tea should feel light and ethereal on the palate, with a clean finish. After swallowing, its natural sweetness should linger gently in your mouth." - Wesley Wang
Sourcing organic teas is the first way to start as tea leaves readily absorb chemicals from their environment. Which is why BrightLeaf can produce a product that is always free of sugar and sweeteners, while tasting smooth, bold and never bitter.
The incredible bold, bright, refreshing flavor you love about tea.
With sparkling effervescence and nothing else.
